Practical InfosThe currency used in the UK is the pound. Members of the EU must carry a valid passport or ID card. Canadians and Swiss don’t need visas. Members of the EU who are planning on driving in the UK must have their driver’s license, and registration and insurance papers at all times. Others must have an international driver’s license. Don’t forget to set your watch on the Greenwich meridian, which is 1h behind continental Europe. Don’t forget to pack a few plug adaptors.
EmergenciesIn case of a serious emergency, call 999 to talk to the Police, the fire station or get an ambulance.
